As a photographer born and raised in Cornwall, authenticity is often at the heart of all my work, growing up witnessing the conflict of tradition and change as my county gets more popular has opened my eyes to the reality of living in a "playground for the rich" environmental issues and economic struggle deep rooted in a fight for national identity allows my work to remain honest and true to myself and experiences.

I use my camera and my strong sense of social justice to help me tell a story, this doesn't just mean celebrating my culture but highlighting the on-going fights of diversity, environmental issues and the issue of social isolation and inclusion. I want to invite my viewers to gently reflect on these issues when they see my work and encourage them to take steps towards a fairer and more friendly world. I am not here to make things look pretty or "picture perfect" I am here to tell the stories found in every-day life.

By going against pre-concieved notions often found within industry, I get a chance to make my mark, my work becomes raw, unpolished and wild a reflection of my environment. I photograph what most people will turn away from and refuse to accept - the truth, I will show the slow poisoning of the place that means so much to me, rugged cliff landscapes, miles of ocean, thousands of years of history being consumed by nature, those quiet moments make some of my most precious memories - I won't let them be taken from me.

I like to experiment and take risks always, as I truly believe it is the only way to grow and adapt - Especially in Cornwall, the place I love and like to call home.
